At the beginning of the day your guide will take you to Casal de Loivos, where the trail begins.
On the half slopes that border the River Pinhão and the River Douro, between the towns of Pinhão and Casal de Loivos, many of the Douro's historic quintas can be found, harmoniously inserted into the landscape, as well as the main Port wine producing houses, which invite tourists to taste their wines and, during the harvest season, to take part in their "lagaradas". Our hiking trail is there.
Along the trail in Casal de Loivos, there is a byway to its belvedere, allowing we to appreciate what was considered by an English newspaper as the third most beautiful landscape in the world. Afterward we will visit an emblematic winery - "Quinta da Roêda" - and have a tasting experience of the regional wine.
