This day trail goes towards Alijó passing through Castelo de Vilarelho, a fortified settlement where the first inhabitants of the region lived during the Iron Age. Their remains survived the posterior Roman, Suebi and Arab occupations of the territory. In Alijó the trail passes through the historical centre of the town, where an imponent century-old sycamore tree can be found. In Favaios, do not miss its rich historical and cultural heritage: admire its fountains, chapels, churches, manors and stately homes, several granite milestones, which used to demarcate the former Douro Demarcated Region.
Later visit the "Favaios, Pão e Vinho" Museum Nucleus, whrere we can travel in time and and see the confection of the traditional and internationally recognized Favaios wine and the bread tradition, and the street known for its artisans bakers in Favaios.

On the half slopes that border the River Pinhão and the River Douro, between the towns of Pinhão and Casal de Loivos, many of the Douro's historic quintas can be found, harmoniously inserted into the landscape, as well as the main Port wine producing houses, which invite tourists to taste their wines and, during the harvest season, to take part in their "lagaradas".Our hiking trail is there.
Along the trail in Casal de Loivos, there is a byway to its belvedere, allowing we to appreciate what was considered by an English newspaper as the third most beautiful landscape in the world.
After the trail we will visit "D'Origem" Museum and have a tasting experience of the regional wine.
To conclude the day we will boat tour the Douro River.

The trail begins in the village of Ribalonga, goes towards the Viewpoint of Fraga das Ferraduras, that is located near a pedestrian path that led to the Cachão da Rapa site and from where one can observe an extensive beautiful stretch of the Douro´s landscape listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, and returns to Ribalonga.
This village still preserves the traditional architecture of winegrowing villages as well as some houses of historical interest.
Among the historic buildings it is worth mentioning the 18th-century Mother Church dedicated to Santa Marinha.
After we will go to "Casa dos Cantoneiros" where we will go snaks tasting.
To finish we will visit "Olhos do Tua" belvedere.

At the beginning of the day your guide will take you to Pinhal do Douro, where the first trail of the day begins.
This day trail is divided in two.
In the first half, we encounter a natural landscape, formed by escarpments covered with the rich and diversified vegetation of the Douro Valley, that still subsists under the imposing Fraga da Ola.
This trail heads north, towards the village of Pinhal do Douro, where we can observe a set of scattered structures, identified as some apiary´s walls, ovens used to dry figs, and a set of mills, which make up and characterize the rural landscape.
On the second half, we will head to a different short-distance walking trail where we will observe several traditional mill structures, with their flumes and dams, as well as various other functional buildings, such as ovens to bake bread, barns, dovecotes, and houses.
All these are still well preserved, bearing witness to the traditional way of life of this population at the end of the 19th century and mid of the 20th century.
This walking ends by the information panel located next to Rural Memories Museum of Vilarinho da Castanheira that we will visit.

This day trail starts near the Sanctuary of our Lady of the Assumption, it passes through the village of Vila Boas, and ends in Vilarinho das Azenhas.
The village of Vilas Boas is marked by the richness of its artistic, architectural, and religious heritage that manifest itself in the parish church of the Saint Mary Magdalene.
The trail follows the half slope of the imposing granite massif of the Faro Mountain.
It is a landscape of morphological, lithological, floristic and faunistic contrast with the lowlands of the Terra Quente Transmontana plateu.
Before arriving at Vilarinho das Azenhas there is a deviation to the Sanctuary of our Lady of Remedies.
The end of the trail is marked by the varied heritage of this village, including the church of Santa Justa.

At the beginning of the day your guide will take you to the village of Passos, where the trail begins.
The trail takes place in the Serra de Santa Comba where we find the largest concentration of recent Prehistoric schematic painting in Portugal.
In this mountain we can highlight 3 places: the Regato das Bouças, which contains rock shelters, seats in schist and quartzite and that were occupied between the Neolithic and the Chalcolithic.
Inside there are schematic paintings, with anthropomorphic and arboreal figurations, executed in red ochre; the Cruzeiro Belvedere, where you can see the quartzite ridges, "Cascalheira" (a particular type of gravel) and Buraco da Pala; the Buraco da Pala, which is a prehistoric rock shelter with a single room. In this shelter, three moments of human occupation took place between the middle of the III millennium BC and the beginning of the II millennium BC.
After the hike we will go olive oil taste in “da Oliveira e do Azeite” Museum.
