The trail takes place in the Serra de Santa Comba where we find the largest concentration of recent Prehistoric schematic painting in Portugal. In this mountain we can highlight 3 places: the Regato das Bouças, which contains rock shelters, seats in schist and quartzite and that were occupied between the Neolithic and the Chalcolithic. Inside there are schematic paintings, with anthropomorphic and arboreal figurations, executed in red ochre; the Cruzeiro Belvedere, where you can see the quartzite ridges, "Cascalheira" (a particular type of gravel) and Buraco da Pala; the Buraco da Pala, which is a prehistoric rock shelter with a single room. In this shelter, three moments of human occupation took place between the middle of the III millennium BC and the beginning of the II millennium BC.
